Trac Cymru is looking for a part-time, home-based, Welsh-speaking Communications & Marketing Officer.

Where we come from

The indigenous folk arts of Wales are under threat of extinction without careful nurturing and conscious effort on the part of many individuals and a few fabulous organisations, of which Trac Cymru is one.

Trac Cymru provides inspiration, training and support to individuals and projects to ensure the preservation of Welsh cultural heritage. We give folk artists the confidence, support and backing to unleash their extraordinary talents onto the world. Our mission is to develop Welsh performing folk arts as a living tradition to be shared and enjoyed by audiences and performers at all levels, both in Wales and throughout the world.

As an organisation, we are on the eve of a huge year and this is your chance to get in on the action. So if your mission is aligned with ours, then consider applying for this game changing role.

What we need

We need to bring our communications into the hands of one individual who can help make sure that we’re reaching and talking with the world effectively. Having developed a Marketing and Communications Strategy we’re looking for the right person to help us deliver it.

We see you as the person who will support the management team in all aspects of marketing. Working from home, you’ll be responsible for making sure the world knows about us and our work- using social and digital platforms as well as helping us with PR and marketing our projects.

All our roles are dependent on successful funding, but this role will be a minimum of 0.6 FTE (3 days per week on average) until 31 March 2024 with the potential to grow to full-time over a period of years.

The initial salary will be £13,800 pa (£23,000 pa pro rata)

Trac Cymru is an equal opportunities employer. We aim at all times to recruit the person who is most suited to the job and welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
