Raising Awareness
In everything we do, we raise awareness for our traditional folk arts. We make spaces for them to be heard, like the Welsh Folk Awards or Tŷ Gwerin at the National Eisteddfod. We take them to new audiences across the globe, on stages and TV, from Canada to Sweden. You can find examples of our work and partnerships below at the bottom of this page. We also raise awareness across our website, such as our directory, where you - supporters, artists, promoters, event organisers alike - can find lists of artists, instrument makers, dance societies and more for free. By following our social media platforms and subscribing to our newsletter, you can stay connected with new music releases, concerts, events, arts jobs, festivals and more, and updates about our work at Trac Cymru.
We recognise that supporting our artists means supporting the planet too. Whether as a guest on a panel or a hand in a research project, we are a part of the global conversation that understands we have to make change - through conscious thinking and action - in order to sustain a thriving music industry. For example, practicing sustainable gigging and touring, finding renewable energy sources for large scale events or sourcing ethically-made merchandise.
